Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be greeted by a representative holding a sign with “Best Egypt Tours.” You will then be transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, begin your journey with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, including treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun. Continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza – Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos – and the Sphinx. Return to your hotel for the night.
Day 3: Cairo to Luxor (Nile Cruise)
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo’s domestic airport for a flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor, known for its impressive courtyard and statues of Ramses the Great. Board your Nile cruise before lunch and enjoy an overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 4: Nile Cruise – West Bank Exploration
Breakfast on board, then visit the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari.
(Optional: Hot Air Balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings and Queens, offering a breathtaking aerial view of the ancient sites.) Return to the cruise for the evening and overnight stay.
Day 5: Nile Cruise – Edfu & Kom Ombo
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo for lunch on board, and then visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Afternoon tea will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Kom Ombo.
Day 6: Nile Cruise – Aswan
Enjoy breakfast on board before sailing to Aswan. Once there, visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, and the Temple of Philae. Enjoy lunch on board and spend the night in Aswan.
Day 7: Aswan – Cairo
After breakfast on board, disembark from the cruise.
(Optional: Visit the Abu Simbel temples, the colossal temples built by Ramses II and later relocated to avoid inundation by the Nile.)
Transfer to Aswan Airport for your return flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 8: Alexandria Day Trip
Your Best Egypt Tours guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for a day trip to Alexandria. Start with a visit to the Alexandria Library, the largest library in the world, and explore its open court and statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I. Next, visit the Roman Amphitheater and the underwater monuments of ancient Alexandria. Tour the Church of St. Mark, the oldest church in Africa, followed by a visit to the old downtown, traditional markets, and El Nabi Daniel Mosque.
(Optional: Enjoy lunch at a traditional Alexandrian restaurant or a modern fish restaurant, as well as a break at a local coffee shop or shisha café.)
Conclude the day with a visit to Montaza Palace and its royal gardens. Return to Cairo for overnight stay.
Day 9: Cairo Historical Sites
After breakfast, transfer to visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure, located in Saqqara. Continue to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, to see the Statue of Ramses II. On the way back to Cairo, stop by the Red and Bent Pyramids of Dahshur.
(Optional: Evening Sound & Light show at the Pyramids.)
Overnight in Cairo.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, your Best Egypt Tours representative will transfer you to Cairo Airport for your departure, assisting with final departure formalities.
