Itinerary
Day 1: Karnak and Luxor Temples
Upon your arrival at Safaga Port, your Best Egypt Tours guide and manager will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name. There is no need for you to search for them, as they will approach you directly to ensure a smooth start to your tour.
You will be transferred in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, located approximately three hours from Safaga. Once in Luxor, you will visit the magnificent Karnak Temples, the largest and most significant place of worship ever constructed, spanning from the Middle Kingdom to the Greco-Roman period. The temple complex features the awe-inspiring Hypostyle Hall, a vast space filled with colossal pillars.
Next, you will proceed to Luxor Temple, originally built during the reign of Amenophis III over 5,000 years ago, where you can admire some of the best-preserved artworks in Egypt. For an additional experience, you have the option to enjoy the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temples before spending the night in Luxor.
Day 2: Luxor West Bank
After enjoying a breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the West Bank of the River Nile to visit the Colossi of Memnon, the two monumental statues of Amenhotep III. From there, continue to the Valley of the Kings, where you will explore the magnificently decorated tombs of the ancient pharaohs, with three tombs included in your visit.
Following your time at the Valley of the Kings, you will enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor. The tour will continue to the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary, an extraordinary temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only female pharaoh. The temple rises from the desert in a series of terraces, blending harmoniously with the surrounding limestone cliffs.
After the tour, your guide will escort you back to Safaga Port, where you will board your cruise. Should you have more time and wish to explore additional attractions in Luxor, please feel free to inform us, and we will be happy to customize your itinerary.
